Hebei Weish FRP Dissolved oxygen cone, also known as oxygenation cone, is an oxygenation equipment specially designed for factory aquaculture. The whole body is made of high-strength FRP material. The oxygenation effect is significantly superior to similar products. When used in conjunction with pure oxygen generation equipment (or oxygen cylinders) and other circulating water aquaculture equipment, it can provide high dissolved oxygen water for ultra-high density aquaculture. If the gas is ozone, it can form high concentrations of ozone water, which has strong oxidizing properties and can instantly kill bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms in the water. The dissolved oxygen cone and oxygenation equipment are detailed in Figures 1.1-1.4.

The dissolved oxygen cone itself does not have the function of generating oxygen. It is just a container for mixing oxygen and water. Due to its special structure and the use of positive and negative pressure (atmospheric pressure) working mode, oxygen can be fully dissolved in water. That is, when water enters, oxygen is added to the inlet device to fully mix oxygen in the dissolved oxygen cone, and the resulting water is directly high in oxygen. The working principle of the dissolved oxygen cone is detailed in Figure 2.
Due to the increasing popularity of recirculating aquaculture and the increasing density of aquaculture, the demand for dissolved oxygen in water bodies is also increasing. How to effectively increase the dissolved oxygen in water while reducing energy consumption and improving the dissolved oxygen efficiency per unit of water, which is the problem Aquatic industry practitioners have been troubled with. The common methods of oxygenation in the current market is as follows.
1.Water wheel type aerator
This is the most common and commonly used method for soil pond aquaculture. The principle of oxygenation is that the water wheel sprays water near the water surface into the air, causing the water to come into contact with the air, thereby increasing the dissolved oxygen in the water. This method can only increase the dissolved oxygen on the surface of the pond. Due to the lack of effective convection at the bottom of the pond, the dissolved oxygen at the bottom of the pond cannot be increased. The bottom of the pond is often the place where fish feces are most concentrated. Under anaerobic conditions, the organic matter in the feces will decompose into toxic and harmful substances, such as hydrogen sulfide, which are easily soluble in water. When the concentration of harmful substances in the water accumulates to a certain extent, it will have fatal consequences for fish and shrimp in the water. 2.Fan aerated stone (nano aeration tube)
The compressor of a small fan is small and only suitable for shallow water bodies. Generally, the water depth does not exceed 80cm; Large farms will use Roots blowers. Roots blowers are relatively expensive and generally used in conjunction with Nano aeration tubes. After aeration with a nano aeration tube, the diameter of the gas in water is about 2-3mm. Under buoyancy, bubbles will quickly surface. Due to the oxygen content in the air being only 21%, coupled with the short contact time between bubbles and water, the effect of using nano aeration tubes on increasing oxygen in water is limited.
3.Pure oxygen and dissolved oxygen cone
Dissolved oxygen cone is currently the most efficient type of oxygen utilization, with an oxygen utilization rate of over 90%. It has a very high cost-effectiveness and is an essential dissolved oxygen device in the use of pure oxygen for oxygenation.Dissolved oxygen cone is a closed container that, according to the principles of fluid mechanics, forcibly oxygenates water. The dissolved oxygen cone is tightly sealed and there is no gas escaping. During the operation of the dissolved oxygen cone, the circulating water flows from top to bottom, forming a cone with high flow velocity at the top and low pressure on the bubbles; The flow velocity in the lower part of the cone is small, and the pressure on the bubbles is high, causing the bubbles to float upwards from the bottom. According to the principles of fluid mechanics, the pressure of a fluid decreases with an increase in flow velocity, causing bubbles to suspend above the cone. Bubbles fluctuate above the cone until completely dissolved, increasing the time for water and gas exchange. The dissolved oxygen effect can reach over 90%, achieving the purpose of forced oxygenation. The on-site work of the dissolved oxygen cone is shown below.
There are usually three production methods of dissolved oxygen cone.
The overall structure presents a conical shape with a small top and a large bottom. The inlet and outlet water are connected by PVC flanges. There is a drainage outlet and observation window at the bottom.
Dissolved oxygen cone is a special type of pressure vessel. Its main function is to increase pressure to force the gas to overcome the surface tension of water and passively dissolve under the condition of sufficient gas-liquid mixing. Therefore, the oxygen cone needs to be used in conjunction with equipment such as booster pumps and jet pumps. The gas source adopts an oxygenerator or oxygen cylinder (oxygen purity more than 90%).
