CROSS Flow Cooling Tower 

FRP Casing cross flow open cooling towers have exceptional anti-corrosion performance, widely applicable in HVAC system, petrochemical industries. With extremely low initial input.Our FRP Open towers designed with HDG steel or Stainless Steel Structure , solid and firm.Single cell water flow rate: 20-1000 m³/h. 

1.Tower Body:reasonable shape, steady air flow, high-quality material, bright color, anti-aging, high strength, light weight, corrosion resistant. The down tower body can be equipped with the spilled water, sewage and automatic feed pipe according to the order request. It can absorbent water directly from here so the cooling pool is not needed. In addition, it is equipped with the silencing mat to reduce the noise effectively.

2.Filler:adopts to the PVC wave plate, Increased lateral convex rib so it can enhance the redistribution capacity of the water, low resistance, the thermal performance is good, the adaptive temperature range is -50--70.

3.Water Distributor and water pipe.Equipped with the stainless steel ball bearing, operation flexible and reliable. uniform water distribution. The material of water pipe is FRP and the closed water board is installed in the pipe to overcome the phenomenon of floating water.

Counter Flow:
In a counterflow design, the air flow is directly opposite to the water flow (see diagram at left). Air flow first enters an open
area beneath the fill media, and is then drawn up vertically. The water is sprayed through pressurized nozzles near the top of the
tower, and then flows downward through the fill, opposite to the air flow.

Advantages of the counterflow design:
* Spray water distribution makes the tower more freeze-resistant.
* Breakup of water in spray makes heat transfer more efficient.

Disadvantages of the counterflow design:
* Typically higher initial and long-term cost, primarily due to pump requirements.
* Difficult to use variable water flow, as spray characteristics may be negatively affected.
* Typically noisier, due to the greater water fall height from the bottom of the fill into the cold water basin
